This guide will help you get the most out of the app.

Key Features

• Idea Management: Create new ideas with detailed descriptions, assign priorities (Urgent, High, Medium, Low), add relevant tags, include links, upload images, or even sketch directly on a canvas. You can also use voice input for quick note-taking. Easily edit, delete, or move your ideas between columns.
• Kanban Board: The main view is a flexible Kanban board where you can drag and drop ideas through your custom workflow columns (Thinking, Started, Half Done, Doing, Complete). Ideas are automatically sorted by priority within each column.
• Priority Matrix View (☐): Switch to the Eisenhower Matrix to effectively prioritize ideas from your "Thinking" column. Drag ideas into "Do", "Decide", "Delegate", or "Delete" quadrants to instantly update their priority.
• The Stream (🌀): This is a temporary inbox for your fleeting ideas. Any card created from a shared link or a camera photo automatically lands here. Items in The Stream fade over 24 hours and are then deleted, encouraging you to review them and promote the best ones to your main board.
• The Archive (🗃): A dedicated space for ideas you've completed, deferred, or want to keep for future reference. You can easily move ideas to the Archive and restore them to your main board at any time.
• Focus Mode (◉): Click the focus icon on any card to open it in a distraction-free modal, allowing you to concentrate on a single idea.
• The Muse (🎲): Need a spark of creativity? The Muse takes two random ideas from your Archive and presents them as a new combination. This is a great way to find unexpected connections and overcome creative blocks.
• Search Functionality: Quickly find any idea by typing keywords into the search bar. You can search by idea description or by tags.
• Theming (🎨 & 📸): Personalize your workspace. Cycle through various predefined themes or use the "Sample Theme" feature to analyze a photo and create a unique, harmonious color palette for the entire user interface.

How Your Data is Saved

IdeaFlow is designed with privacy as a top priority.

• All your data—cards, images, sketches—is saved directly on your device in your browser's powerful IndexedDB database.
• Your data is never sent to any online server or cloud service. This means it's fast, works completely offline, and remains private to you.

Data Security & Backups

Because your data is stored only in your browser, it's important to understand how to keep it safe.

• Clearing History: Clearing your browser's history is safe and will not delete your cards.
• Clearing Cache: BE CAREFUL! If you clear your browser's cache and select the option for "Cookies and other site data", all your IdeaFlow cards will be permanently deleted.
• Backups: Use the Export button (📤) in the header to save a backup file (`ideaflow-backup.json`) of all your data. You can restore from this file at any time using the Import button (📥).
• Updates: If a new version of IdeaFlow is available, a notification will appear at the bottom of the screen. Click it to update the app to the latest version.
